About My Truck
COWBOY UP is a 2001 Chevy Silverado Z71
Cranked torsion bars, 285/75/16 e range tires, 102" antenna(soon to be dual 48's), mud flaps, will have 2500 rear springs soon.
Yes, I work my half ton like its a 3/4 ton, it never gives me issues, so I dont want to hear your shit.
About My Other Toys
79 Camaro Z28, borg warner t-10 4 speed, 12 bolt rearend 355 pushin bout 450, i love it.
But theres some problems, had a violent backfire through the carb and its messed up, and for some reason rear maid seal POURS oil, I cant figure it out for anything, ive replaced it many times.
So mabye theres a slight warp in the rear main.
Howdy
Im Scooter.
I guess you could call me a Cowboy.
I work on a horse ranch with 25 horses, I ride Western and English.
I like to just hop on a horse and have fun!
Weather its running barrels, or a posting trot around an arena
Im also learning to be a Farrier.
Horses are my life.
My other passion is trucks, Im an experienced gas, light and heavy diesel mechanic.
Its the c-clip axles I worry about. Floaters are alot stronger. I'll see what I can come up with and let you know. TIs not like you will ge it done right away so let me look into it.

Well Fuck it, I might as well just get some helper springs, or I know the local 4x4 shop will put firmer leaves in it.
Either or..

I know one issue will be ujoints. 2500's have bigger ujoints in them. I know there are aftermarket offsets available. I wish we could get one in here I could measure spring widths and such.

I know this is probably a stupid question, BUT, if there is no driveshaft issues with putting a 3/4 ton rearend in my truck, then Ill be putting wheel adapters up front so I dont look like a silly nigger.
Im sure you remember the old heavy duty suburbans with the dually wheels on them(like they are mounted on the front of a dually, just on all 4 corners) would they mount on mine like that? or do they require a tottaly different hub thats longer?
